Looking from the islands, we reflected on how engaging in commonality-building practices makes us happier.

‘Finding the commons’ consisted in inviting people from the city to look into the commonality processes functioning on the island of Peng Chau.

Finding the commons. Participants to the mapping workshop were brought to investigate a very widespread  commoning pratice on Peng Chau: caring for community animals. With an investigation leaflet that mimics the format and research process of Islanders zine, participants took a day or two to walk around the island, observe and record. Through this process, they developed a new type of attention to their environment.
